How to Experience God's Best!

How to Experience God's Best!

Have you been experiencing less than God's best in your life and wondering what's holding up your breakthrough? In my experience, when things are not lining up with what God's word says we should have, it's an indicator that it's time to ask God what's holding me back?

It is true that while God answers our prayers according to His will, some things may not happen immediately. But, when you notice that you keep experiencing the same sequence of events or are dealing with the same issues over and over, it's time to ask God, "What is it I need to change?"

I have been learning how important it is to examine the condition of the heart. It is not always comfortable, but it is a beneficial. I've heard one of my favorite Bible teachers, Joyce Meyer say, "We look at others through a magnifying glass, but we look at ourselves through rose colored sunglasses."

Asking the Holy Spirit to examine your heart can help you to get to the next level, especially when you've been asking Him what's preventing you from moving forward. But, you have to be willing to receive what He reveals and make the necessary changes.

Did you know impurities in your heart can keep you from experiening God's best?

Things such as offense, strife, unforgiveness and wrath can not only block you from hearing from God; these things keep God's people from experiencing breakthrough. Galatians 5:19-21 outlines things that keep believers from inheriting the kingdom of God; however, God's word also instructs us on how to avoid these things. Galatians 5:14 says, "For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."

Relationships are key! I once thought that I was perfect and everyone else around me had problems. But, as I have grown in my relationship with God, the Holy Spirit has revealed where change is needed to be in alignment with God's will.

True Change begins with a relationship with God, who will give you the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you into all truth.

God has been showing me that how I operate in relationships can be either an opportunity to develop and grow into the image of Christ, or to lead me down the wrong path. How we operate in relationships reveals what is truly in our hearts. When we operate in the fruit of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, emperance, we fulfill God's will, according to Galatians 5:22:23.

Don't be deceived, opportunities arise daily to walk in the flesh, or opposition to God's will, but we can choose God's way. Just think how many times we could get offended by little things each day. What types of things cause you to harbor unforgivess or get involved in strife? These things can take place in an instant and interrupt your progress.

If you're caught off guard when it takes place and don't deal with it, these things have the potential to take root like a seed, grow and corrupt your heart. It will then spring forth in your words, thoughts, actions, habits and determine your character. Yes, it is that serious!

Do you see why it's important to guard your heart? In today's busy society, it's easy to neglect examing the heart's condition or to think everything's okay when it may not be. Just as you would get a physical examination to ensure that your physical body is in good health. Regularly ask God to examine your spiritual heart and He will.

Trust Commands Confidence

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” ~Proverbs 3:5-6

Wow! What an awesome scripture. Have you ever learned that God has assigned you to accomplish something in this earth only to wonder, "How in the world am I going to do this?" I know I have. But this scripture tells me the answer! When I put all of my trust in God and His ability to do His word, He comes through.

No matter what He has assigned you to do, He provides everything needed to accomplish His plans, including directions. When I don’t know what to do; He directs me in the right way when I trust Him. Can you think of a better way to eliminate the fear of failure. It definitely gives me confidence to go forward knowing that He’s got my back.

Fear of the unknown will paralyze you if you let it, but trust in God and His love for you eliminates fear. When He says, “Lean not unto your own understanding,” you don’t have to worry about how He’s going to do what He said, how your needs are going to be met or how you will be able to do what He’s called you to do.

This kind of trust develops through experiences with God

How do you know if you can trust a friend? You may feel like you can trust someone, but the more that friend does what he/she says, the more you will trust that they are reliable and dependable. But God is the friend who never fails. He always does what His word says. He is faithful. The more I lean on Him, the more my confidence in Him grows.

In what area do you need to trust God in your life? I encourage you to stop leaning on your own understanding of how things will work out, and start trusting in God. Allow Him to be your guide. Of course, you have to do your part by obeying His word and taking faith actions, but as you do, you will see His mighty hand at work in your life.

Have a Blessed week!

Seeing With Your Eyes of Faith

What do you do when what you see going on in this physical world goes against what the word of God says? You have to use your eyes of faith.

“Well, what does that mean?” you may ask. This simply means looking at things the way God’s word says it is. For example, His word says in Philippians 4:19, “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus,” but you look at your circumstances and see lack in some area of your life. This is where you want to use your eyes of faith.

Seeing with your eyes of faith is not looking at your present circumstance and agreeing with what you see. Instead, knowing that with God all things are possible, you agree with what God’s word says. In your mind’s eye, you see yourself with all your needs met!

If your need, request, or demand is to have good opportunities flowing to you, use your imagination to see God opening doors and providing opportunities. This is what it means to use your eyes of faith. And seeing with your eyes of faith is one of the requirements to walking by faith and not by sight. It’s one of the keys to gaining victory!

What area of your life do you need to start seeing the way God’s word says it is? Make a decision right now to say, “I’m going to look at this through my eyes of faith!” And then, Do It!

The Journey

How do you get from I believe to I receive?

"What things soever ye desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them."~Jesus
-Mark 11:24

It is vital to the success of your prayers that you pray according to the will of God. The will of God can be found in His written and spoken word. When you pray, do you believe that you have what you say? I mean, are you convinced that you really have what you desire even before you can see it with your "physical" eyes? You have to see your prayers answered with your spiritual eyes of faith. This is what it means to walk by faith and not by sight.

If you want to start seeing your prayers manifested, ask yourself if your desires are in line with God's will and if you truly believe and have confidence that what you prayed is yours. Then you will see your prayers answered.

Developing a warrior mentality

logo maker logo creator
What do you do when everything around you indicates failure?

In the times we are living, it is of the utmost importance to develop a warrior mentality. What does this mean? Simply put, it means, deciding you win even before adversity shows up.

How else will you be able to step into the life you were destined to live? Living a life of purpose and having the power to get positive results comes with a price. You must be developed at thinking positive, seeing opportunities when it looks as if none exist, and having the courage to move forward even when fear tries to paralyze you.

Remember, when the temptation to faint shows up, only those who stand firm will move forward. When the pressure seems unbearable, you know your breakthrough is near, so don't faint...stand strong.

Whether you're moving towards financial freedom, a career change, spiritual or physical fitness or healthy relationships you must develop a warrior mentality in order to overcome obstacles that stand between you and your dreams.

God bless, Warriors!

What do you do in the midst of adversity?

In The Midst of Adversity

What I have learned as I'm writing my new book is that storms will come, but how you deal with storms determine your victory or defeat. For instance, God gave me a promise and I have been facing adversity in obtaining the promise. I have been tempted to quit countless times, but each time, I overcame the temptation.

In the beginning, I used to faint during adversity, question if I really heard from God and endure mental torture. Now, through this faith journey, I have learned how to stand in the midst of adversity. I have to stand on God's word no matter what I see going on around me. It's like being in a thunderstorm and knowing sunshine is on the other side even though you can't see it. You can either camp out in the storm and get beat up, or you can continue to press through to the other side. I have chosen to press through and obtain the promise, like Abraham.

It is vital to our success, that we not only learn the word and the voice of God, but that we apply what we learn and listen to His voice. That is the only way you will be able to stand when it seems as if the world is caving in around you and you will never have victory over seemingly hopeless situations. You have to stand!

I am not talking about something I have read, I'm writing about what I have been through. I have obtained victory over many situations and that's why I can encourage others and share what I know.

Obtaining the promises of God is not for the faint of heart, these are the ones who don't inherit the promises. You must be strong in faith. Without faith, it's impossible to please God.

If you are looking for answers on how to stay strong, how to press forward, how to obtain victory, I am revealing what I went through in my brand new book, due for release June 2009.

God bless you and have an awesome week!
